Christmas Day

Christmas morning in our rental house. As usual we had a Christmas breakfast prepared by Tammy, we had our stocking gifts even though they did not hang from the fireplace mantel this year, and we opened presents as Duncan enjoyed the event and his own gifts. Later Tom and Marcielle joined us for a Christmas meal, and we had lots of fun as we bowled on the Wii. Pictures   VIDEO

Early December Snow

A rare surprise December snowfall occurred in Houston and surrounding areas December 10th, 2008. The snow began falling early in the evening around 7 pm and continued until after midnight, overcoming the above freezing temperature of 36 degrees to deposit an accumulation on the ground and coverings before it ended. Guess the old Farmer's Almanac was right for our cold winter forecast this year. Pictures   VIDEO

Remembering Marguerite

Aunt Marguerite, my mom's sister and youngest of the siblings, passed away the day after Thanksgiving, 11-28-2008. A memorial was held at the Angleton Church of Christ on Saturday December 6th with many friends and family in attendance. Pictures   VIDEO
