25th Anniversary

Tammy and I went on a Dinner Cruise in Kemah to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. The weather was nice with the temperature in the high 60's. We left the dock a little after 8 pm and returned at 10. Beads were tossed to Kemah Boardwalk patrons as the boat made a close pass. A DJ played requests as everyone had a good time feasting on a fine meal and dancing to favorite songs. Haak Winery

Tammy took the day off work this Friday and we did something we hadn't taken the time to do before, visit a local winery only 20 miles from our house. We had considered taking the drive up to the hill country of Texas and touring some of the vineyards of over 20 or more wineries during October when the leaves begin to turn a festive autumn color and the scenery is at its best. It would have been part of our annual wedding anniversary activities. But we'd never even been to a winery and thought Santa Fe is so close we could see if a larger excursion was of merit perhaps next year or beyond.

The Haak Winery in Santa Fee was a delightful sojourn on a beautiful fall day with temperatures hovering around 70 in crisp clear conditions. The tour was quite informative and since it was almost Halloween there were some additional decorations. A sip or two of wine was intriguing, as well. The Pictures.   VIDEO   HALLOWEEN VIDEO

Uncle Sonny's 80th

Late Sunday afternoon we gathered with family for a surprise birthday celebration and meal at Pronto Cucinino Italian resturant in Houston. Excellent food and visitation followed by cake and ice cream. Picture Here!  VIDEO
