Austin Day Trip

We drove to Austin visiting Jordan. We left at 9:40 am and arrived at 12:25. Jordan took us around Austin which included the Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co (ABGB) for lunch, a University of Texas tour of the campus, driving by the Hope Outdoor Graffiti Gallery but no place to park, then the Barton Creek Greenbelt nature trail hiking where the falls would normally be but the river was dried up, up long stairs to the top of Mt. Bonnell to view the Colorado River and Austin skyline, and dinner at the Oasis Restaurant viewing the sunset over Lake Travis … all in 13 hours including 6 hours of travel time! We got home at 10:50.  And we listened to the Astros win in game 7 against the Yankees driving home, taking the American League pennant!! They play the Dodgers in the world series now (UPDATE: Astros win the world series!!!).  A great day. Pictures.   VIDEO
